Camp Week

During Camp Week, the cheerleaders will learn how to chant sideline cheers and perform a halftime dance routine. It gives the cheerleaders a chance to meet the team and coaches and try out different positions for stunting and squad placement. It's also a great opportunity for the coaches to see the skills that the cheerleaders bring to the team. The cheerleaders also get to experience what it's like to be a member of the cheer squad and what the cheer season's expectations are.

This is a fun three-day event that always has the cheerleaders excited to start the regular season. The last day of camp week is pizza night and creates a bonding experience for the whole team.

 Cheerleaders

Come and join in on all the fun and excitement of being a Nepean Eagles Cheerleader! Learn cheers, stunts and dance routines to perform the halftime show for the Nepean Eagles Football Club.

Our junior and senior squads cheer for different football levels.

Our cheer coaches are committed to building strong cheer squads while promoting self-esteem, leadership skills, teamwork, fitness, strength training, flexibility and rhythm through conditioning and dance routines.

The dance routines are choreographed by the coaches and incorporate stunts and/or tumbling depending on the cheerleaders' abilities and experience.

The girls also cheer at the sidelines during the games.

Cheerleaders participate in a Team Building Event each year. In the past we have participated in halftime shows with the Ottawa Sooners Cheerleaders, Carleton Ravens cheerleaders and performed a halftime show at an Ottawa Redblacks game. This year the Ottawa Redblacks Cheerleaders hosted an instructional cheerleading clinic at our field that incorporated cheers, chants, sideline routines, halftime material and stunts to help prepare us for last season.

Each year the cheerleaders attend a cheer banquet at the Cedarhill Golf and Country Club. This event brings together the girls to share memories, good times and to celebrate the accomplishments that the team and each cheerleader bring to the club. Cheer Awards are handed out along with a showcase video of the cheer season, followed by a buffet. This is the time of the year that the girls look forward to with their team after the season has ended.

The cheer team is a proud supporter and vital part of the Football Club. We instill our club's values and cheer for the love of cheerleading. Our football fans love to see us out on the field and the girls' excitement to participate in front of a large audience!

Beginner and experienced cheerleaders are welcome.

Register today and be part of a fun and dynamic Cheer Team!
